Starr Pass is established as
a premier golf course in the Tucson area.
The golf course is home to valleys and arroyos
and is right next to the Tucson Mountains.
Strict attention was paid to disrupting the
natural surroundings as little as possible,
and the finished product is the Southwest's
most inviting desert golf experience. Starr
Pass' has recently undergone renovations by
Palmer Course Design. This beautiful golf
course will soon feature an 9 additional holes
making it a 27-hole course.
A round of golf here takes you through desert
washes, over mountain passes, and into box
canyons. The experience will be one to remember.
The golf course was designed by Robert Cupp
and they left the existing desert terrain
in its natural state, with some pretty precarious
desert hazards. The well groomed green fairways
and greens are a beautiful contrast to the
natural rock and cactus. Because of this, the
fairways favor a straight shot. Each hole
offers four different tee boxes, allowing
the player variety to their golf game.
