Located beneath the prestigious
Santa Catalina Mountains in northwest Tucson,
Arizona, El Conquistador Country Club features
many challenging holes of golf in a spectacular
setting. Recently renovated by golf course
architect, Gene Bates of Palm Beach Gardens,
Fl, the 30 year old links plays like brand
new. The golf course has been lengthened by
200 yards, totalling 6,900 yards. Fairways,
greens, tees, and roughs were all replaced
with a hardier grass for southern climates.
Surrounding the Hilton El Conquistador
Golf and Tennis Resort the golf course is
noted for its dramatic elevation changes,
tight fairways and sloping greens. The golf
course provides challenges for all skill levels,
especially now that our $2 million enhancements
are completed. The course redesign includes
the tee boxes, fairways and greens.
